Only upper left corner of movies can be seen in Media Player

If I open a video on my PC using Media Player 8, I only see the upper left corner of the movie playing, in the lower right corner of the media player window. If I full screen the player, I see more of the movie, but the majority of it is still shifted to the lower right. No matter how I resize it, I'm never able to see the complete movie on screen. Any ideas?

Have you tried reinstalling it. If you have installed other players they might have taken some sort of focus away.
