Actually while we're a small company thats quite often the case, but being as we offer 24/7 support to our colo/dedicated server clients I have to be here just incase they happen to break something.

so is your job easy being an admin, that's what my college is training me to do, im taking computer programming and analysis at seneca college, after i graduate i can get a job as computer admin

Well it depends rather heavily on what it is you admin.

I look after servers being used by hosting companies, so thats, web, mail, dns, mysql, cpanel, directadmin, plesk, windows server ,etc.. Not exactly the worlds hardest task.

I couldnt speak for the more mission critical admin jobs out ther like keeping google ticking over smoothly. I wouldnt know where to begin.

But yeah my job is pretty easy.
