old used computer given by neighbor...

i was given a old P III 333 mhz better then my old ocmputer which is a 133 mhz computer. SO i would like to config the Petium computer. BUT it give me a error at the bios screen.

"CMOS Checksum error- defualts loaded"

the bios is;

AWARD modular BIOS v 4.51PG
memory test - 131072k OK
AWARD PLUG n PLAY BIOS ext. v 1.04

dectecting IDE primary MASTER ... WDC AC21600H


i tried to pust f1 to contiune or del to go into bios by it just stays at that bios screen. ne suggestions.

Try taking the battery out & leaving it for a bit then boot. (when you have put the battery back in)

That's right. Leave the battery out, about 5 minutes should do it.

and then put a new battery back in. Chances are it needs a new battery
