If you install the K-lite codec pack it comes with a .ogg codec, so that way you can use it with media player you normally use

winamp plays them. I think it installed the codec too.

Winamp should do it. At least if it has the "Noullsoft Vorbis Decoder (in_vorbis.dll)". I never tried it though.

Pretty much any audio player will play them. Providing the plugin, if needed, is installed ..

JetAudio (Plus version is not free,though not expensive; www.jetaudio.com )is the most comprehensive player to my knowledge, it only asks you a few extra things to be able to play anything (e.g. Quicktime has to be installed in the background; I think the same for Real but not sure, I don't play any Real files...)
As for .ogg, it is builtin.

Thanks guys now that i kno what i can use to play these .ogg files. Is it possible to put them on my IPOD? it doesn't seem to let me put them on. Is it only .mp3, .wmv files are only aloud on IPODs?

Lots of apps convert audio from one format to another. None of them can convert from one lossy format to another (OGG to MP3/AAC, in this case) without quality loss.

If ogg file is good, converting it to mp3 will result in a mp3 file the same quality as the original...
But, if you ask me, I prefer the wav format I can come back to when a mp3 or ogg or any compressed format is not good enough or got corrupted... wav is just too much space demanding so I save my prefered cd's to dvd as backup for my mp3 playlist

That's technically not the case. Transcoding from one lossy format to another always leads to quality loss. The listener may or may not be able to perceive the loss, depending on his/her ears and the quality of the speakers being used.
