Office XP - Send Mail Immediately Question

If I have Outlook open, create a new message, click send, the mail gets sent immediately. However, if I do not have Outlook open and I click on a "Mail to" link on a website or create a new message some other way, when I get done writing that message and hit send the message does not get sent until I open up Outlook. This is very frustrating to say the least. I have looked through all the options and check boxes I can find and nothing seems to resolve this. Anyone know of a fix?

Hhhmm....I just tried something. I was using Word as my e-mail editor when I got the above problem. I tried unchecking the box "Use Microsoft Word to edit e-mail messages" and now my messages get sent immediately no matter what. I would still be interested in a fix for using word as the editor and sending all messages immediately.

Thanks.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
