Office XP Question

My Mom bought a new Drive and didn't save any of her office settings i.e. her contacts and email etc. I conected the old drive to the computer and I was wondering if anyone knew where Office stores all the contacts and settings...

as far as e-mail settings in outlook, do a search for .pab (address book), .pst (settings i think), .ost files and copy them into the same directory on the new drive that they are stored in on the old drive. http://support.microsoft.com/search/preview.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q287070

ya k22 those are the correct file extensions. do a search for *.pst *.ost *.pab to find the files needed to be transferred. then copy those to the new PC or whatever and ADD the data files by browsing for them. if i had a dollar for every friggin .pst file i had to fix/transfer/cut up in size, id be a millionaire at work.



p.s. in a work environment, don't let .pst files get over 1.5gigs or you will run into problems. they become corrupt around 2gigs and even with the tool microsoft supplies, sometimes you can't save it.
