hi guys!

i have RH8 installed and it places my computer screen a bit to the right. in other words "It's not at the center"

i tried moving the screen using the adjustments in my monitor panel and it solved the problem temporarily

but then i switched to XP, it is now XP that has an "un-centered" screen.

can anyone tell me how to solve this? tnx

Are you using a different refresh rate or resolution in RedHat compared to XP ?

I use Mandrake Linux 9.1, and in the main Mandrake Configuration Panel there is the option to adjust the screen.
I imagine there must be an equivalent in Redhat, and I suggest you try and duplicate the resolution that XP is using.

This has to do with how the gfx card gets sent its info as well. But if you use the same res, same refresh rates it shouldnt move.

i already tried that... didn't work

i tried to adjust vertical and horizontal refresh rates... didn't work

what shoud i do?

try changing the resolution. Other than that, all i can say is that i had the same problem, but now i dont.

So i dun know any other thing to say.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
