'Obscure II' keeps crashing...help?

Obscure II runs fine, but ALWAYS crashes at the exact same part near the start of the game. It is after you sneak into the party, get the 'gun from the billiards room', kill the blob monster, get the key from him, and then when you go to the door where it came from at end of corridor it ALWAYS WITHOUT FAIL quits to desktop with an "encountered an error and needs to close/send error report" pop-up window. I can not progress any further in the game due to this issue.

I have looked on other forums for a solution, and one topic on another site had many players as confused as I am with the same problem at the same part of the game also. My system is as follows according to 'dxdiag' if its any help:

• Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
• Mobile AMD Sempron Processor 3400+, 1.8Ghz
• 446MB RAM
• DirectX 9.0c
• NVIDIA GeForce Go 6100
• Using an Xbox 360 wired controller for gaming

There is a bug in the application. The fact that other people are encountering the same problem at the same terminus, means that there is a bug in the game. You will have to wait for a patch.

You will have to wait for a patch.

But make sure to file a bug report if it really bothers you also. Alot of games dont' get things patched until a certain number of complains come in about it.

after killed boss try to switch controller from gamepad to keyboard then switch back ok.

Yeha, it seams to work, switching to keyboard, i did it an then switch to pad again. I even re enter the door and theres no more crash.
if i find another bug i let you know tks.

its a rather obscure game, never heard of it, but perhaps that was the intention....
