nvidia fx 5700le problem, help!!

I have got a XFX Geforce fx 5700le graphics card. I am facing a serious problem when playing any game [NFSU2 , POP2 , Star Wars2etc ] The display keeps on flickering though the background detail level is okay. I have tried to change the resolution and antialiasing features but to no avail. It seems that there is a conflict somewhere. The 66.93 driver is installed right now. Please help!:cry:
system specs:
AMD 3000Mhz 64 bit
ASUS K8V-X motherboard with via chipset
512MB DDR RAM
80GB HDD(sata seagate)
17inch LG Flatron monitor
