Is there any option in xp pro to prevent num-lock from being turned off, ie having to press the key a few times to get it to change state?

It can get quite anoying if you go to hit the number 7 and hit the numlock key as well whilst entering lots of numbers.

I remember there was an accesability option to do something similar in windows 9x.

To have numlock turned on for each user:

Go to start -> Run and type -> Regedit

Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\Keyboard\InitialKeyboardIndicators

Change the value from 0 to 2

Turn Numlock on manually

Log off and back on again.

For all users, make the same change to:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Keyboard\InitialKeyboardIndicators

Reboot

Hope this helps!

Good luck.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
