Ok, I need help..... I am about to install XP, and I need to know wheatehr to install it with the FAT 32 file ssytem or the NTFS system. I am a hardcore gammer, so I would like to know if anyone has had any problems using NTFS when it comes to gamming of any kind?

Ok, I've decided to go with only XP. What i really need to know now is.
A. Will NTFS give me lots of problems when it comes to gamming?
B. If I have a secondary HD which is just for storage, and is already using FAT 32, will XP read it, and can I transfer files back and fourth?

you would be silly not to install it as an ntfs...Much more reliable..:D

Notice that several games (regardless of the file system you use) will not work properly if installed and/or run under a normal user account (you have to be a computer administrator).

if you system is under 600mhz and u are using a 5400 rpm hard drive or slower on an ata/66 or slower cable, ntfs will be much slower....but u will not hit any problems..for gaming, the hard drive performance only affects loading times, not gaming or fps...

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
