1. Do you have one (or more)?

2. Where are they located?

3. When's the last time you checked them?

4. Have you ever used one in an emergency situation?

5. Have you received any training on how to use a fire extinguisher? Either reading a brochure, or CBT or instructor-led?

Another question you should ask is if they bought it or if it came with the home/apartment/flat. If bought, what made them decide on the one they bought.

Oooo, and for extra points if they know what rating it is and if they know what these ratings mean. :D

LOL ... no gonaads ... this survey is to gather data about the "need" for fire extinguisher training. I've found sites that say "if you don't know how, don't try it in an emergency situation" but no data that supports the implication that trying to use one when you haven't had training is worse than not using one at all.

I'll call the FD and see what they got to say about it. I want to do the CERT training this fall, anyway ... maybe I can ... uhh ... Leverage (yeah, thats it) some stuff from there.

Just really difficult identifying a true training need.

A month ago or so I checked it.

I used one to put out a fire at work once that a guy in the shop started.

We were trained at work to use them, and for basic CPR and our emergency plans for almost everything.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
