I have a fileserver storage space on my Uni network. The Fileserver is a Novell Netware one.

I dont want to install the Novell Client.

I have installed the
NWLink NetBIOS
NWLink IPX/SPX Compatible Transport Protocol
on my ethernet card

But I dont know where to go from there to be able to access my fileserver space.

You gotta have the same protocols on the server as you do on your client. They have to have a way to "talk" to each other.

Have you tried installing the Microsoft Client Services for NetWare? As I remember it is fairly limited but does work if all you want is a connection to get files to and from the server.

You already have the IPX/SPX protocol installed so this will sit on top of those.

Install it via the properties for you LAN card, choose install and it is under Client.

This will get you access without installing the Novell Client.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
