notebook to tv hdmi issue

ok here is the deal. i have an HP g60 445dx
nvidia 8200m graphics.
when i plug in the hdmi cable to the pc, it recognizies the tv, but the tv doesn't recognize the signal.
tv is a Vizio VL260M

i've updated the driver, and still no sucess.

Just pointing out the obvious, but you would have to switch the input to hdmi, for the TV. also check the specs for the ouptut and make sure it is NTSC, ATSC or QAM.

yeah i did put the tv to hdmi but the tv does not let me choose the hdmi setting as far as NTSC, ATSC or QAM, neither does the nvidia seetings. it lets me choose the resolution, but that's about it.

found a fix. if i boot into low res mode, it works right off the bat. adjust my settings and i am good to go. i know have a 26 inch monitor.
