Norton unable to update

ive got a legit copy of norton utilities and antivirus, after updating to xp sp1 it says it installs but if i try to run windoctor an error occurs and error also pops up saying i am unable to update stating the reason is service pack 1, i tried it on my friends system who uninstalled sp1 and it still didnt work

Which version of Norton? I have SystemWorks 2002 runnning fine on 3 machines with SP1.

NAV/PERSONAL FIREWALL 2002 did that to me, so instead of messing around with settings, I bought Internet Security 2003 and that works fine with SP-1
