Norton Internet Security 2002--Problem

hey guys
my dad has Norton Internet Security 2002
and it blocks programs i want to use such as Kazaa and MSN Messneger and Dreamweaver ----Cute FTP Goes through for some reason

well i was wondering if you guys knew any ways of how to let those programs connect to the net

i can open the intenet security program but i have to be logged in as him in order to change anything
it really sucks
and when i ask him to let those things through he sits down and pretends he is doin it but never does

Well you might want to read the manual since it can tell you the specific way to block and unblock ports on your computer.

Are you blocked from accessing the admin panel for that program??

Access and Programs

Yes i am allowed to install programs
and i can get to the Admin panel but i am not loged on so i cant do anything

you should be able to add those programs to NIS, but you need to get to admin panel, if this is over ICS, then you have to enable ICS to get through, then open the ports.
