NOLF2 Demo - Anyone tried it?

That new engine they have (or updated one - whatever it is... "The Jupiter Engine" I think) is really looking cool.

I've tried it a couple of times, but haven't won. I get killed pretty fast after running out of bullets and picking up a sword.

.... The graphic did look sweet though.

I don't have a GeForce4 (genration skipping), but it also ran extremely smooth on my system

Yeah - I read that somewhere. I could be wrong, but I was reading something about "particle shading" or drawing or something, that's letting this new or improved engine do things like draw individual blades of grass.

single pixel shading is what everyone is hyped about atm

Just the beta of vbulletin3 is code named jupiter too, I think.

Some people are saying this Jupiter engine is close to the UT2003 engine (don't believe it - who knows though - need to read more)

Yeah - check these out:
(FYI - I think AVP2 was built on the original Lithotech engine)

you mean by NOLF2 No One Lives Forever right?
I downloaded it but it didn't work!
many people faced this..once you you click to play...the screen goes black..and then nothing happens..with G-Force 2 MX 400.
it's so damn buggy.

I just had a quick go, ran out of bullets and got killed by some nasty samurai women, some parts look very sweet but its very obvious that other parts aren't. never played the original, may have to look it up ;)

Buggy?

Didn't have one single problem running the demo, and I've run it several times.

I'm even using old video drivers (23.11 ref's)

People have different problems using different hardware, of course its going to buggy, its a pre-demo.

I don't exactly buy that.

The #1 problem is cheap power supplys. Beyond that TSR's and bad OS/BIOS setups.

I can not remember the last time I had any problems running any game or demo. Nothing crashes on my system.

I payed for a good PSU, Motherboard, and Videocard and I do not have problems playing games.

I'm I just the lucky lottery winner, or do other people with problems have bad systems or setups (hmmmm...) ?

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
