Ok just wondering if anyone has ever had this problem...

Inserting a USB device gives a BSOD with a NO_MORE_IRP_STACK_LOCATIONS stop code. I've been going crazy trying to figure out a fix for this, but not having any luck.

Anyone see this before?

Windows XP SP2, Dell Computers (Tested on Inspiron 700m, Optiplex GX270, and Latitude CS)

sounds as if the driver is messing up before it gets loaded. whatever device it is get the driver for it again and reinstall it. tell us what happens.

tried with multiple flash drives and an iomega hard drive, so it is not a specific device that it occurs with.

Here is an explanation of what that error is and most times it take a repair install to fix it or you could try increasing the irp stack size.

Scroll down to the middle of this article and it explains how to increase the irp stack size.

install/reinstall chipset drivers for you motherboard

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
