No sound

Just discovered that i have no sound on my pc using real player or WMP. I cannot play mp3 midi or audio cd, the software plays it but i canot hear anything. The speakers are connected and working as i get sound when watching a dvd through power dvd, any idea what the problem might be. 😡

Have you checked volume control? Make sure it doesn't have anything muted, except maybe your mic if you have one.

Yeah, DVD audio (sometimes) comes directly from the DVD drive to the soundcard, all other audio is software controlled 🙂
