no monitor

have have just put a second hand motherboard in my sons pc and tried to reboot but i can not get a connection to the monitor any one any ideas were i can start

Do you get any bleeps or anything? Do any of the fans start up? Give us as much information as you can because it could be absolutely anything at this point. Is the graphics card seated properly? Have you checked all the connections, the CPU, the RAM etc?
