No files show up in my prefetch folder??

Any ideas why this would be? I just noticed today when I went to delete them.

Folder view settings are fine, they used to show up but now they dont.

are all your prefetch settings correct? like have you used any programs like tweakxp to change them? the prefetch could of gotten idsabled in the registry somehow.

I figured it out

I had disabled TaskManager service.

For some reason if you do that the layout.ini does not rebuild ??(not sure if thats the right way to say it)itself again when you delete the prefetch files at shutdown.

Either that or its because I ran Bootvis without TM enabled.


System is running much better now.

Make sure the Prefetch value in the registry is 3 (optimizes both program loading and boot time).
