No ata 133 with xp?

Does anyone know why my hard disk is
recognised as "Ultra dma mode" instead of "ultra dma
mode 6" in XP pro?

just curious, but where do you go to look this up?

This is a confusing one. With Win2k, the ata66 is not enabled by default. I've seen benchmarks that would suggest the same thing is true of XP.

Which brings up the question of whether the old ATA registry trick is needed for XP or not.
