NIS VS file sending with MSN and ICQ

Hi all,
I have Norton Internet Security installed and i can't send or receive files through MSN messenger nor ICQ. Is there any special settings to make? Internet access for both applications are "Automatic", should i put them to "Permit All"?

do u have the xp firewall enabled?.....that blocks it too

nop, xp firewall is disable...
(i'm using xp pro)

btw, i though we get a notice when our threads are moved!
this question was hard to classify.... internet, security, applications... all three fits!
