NFS High Stakes.... how to make this work on XP ?

Hello !!

I want to know how does this game work on WinXP !!!!

When i try to play, it gives an error message : "It's not a 32 bit application...." (or something like this).

I tried the "compatibility mode" to run this as a Win95 software, but it did not work.

I have heard something about a 4.44 patch that fix this problem, i have already tried it but it didn't work with the same error message !

It's driving me crazy !!!!!

Search some of the NFS websites out there. At one time there was a hack to make NFSHS work in Win2k and XP. Sorry I dont have a link to it but I know it exists.

hmmmm the game works for me lol i didnt need ot use the compatibility feature.. it worked fine without the patch 2.. so i have no idea

Didnt work for me and I searched the web for a fix and havent found anything myself. Pisses me off because I love this game and now it wont run on XP sucks. So if anyone does find a fix for NFS please post the fix here 😀

maybe it had to do something with ur hdd?

list out ur computer spec ... maybe the rest of us can help out

Go to this thread. This was posted by me. Presently, i partition my HD into 2 partition : 1 using ME and another XP. Running smoothly now...

..time to burn some rubbers...

seeya : HD has nth to do with the incompatibility...
It's the OS core system..(correct me if i'm wrong).
