Okay...after enough grappling, I've decided on an nForce2 mobo for my next Athlon system. The question now, though, is which nForce2 mobo is worth buying?

I've heard of the Chaintech Zenith board, but now I've run into the ASUS A7N8X. I know these boards are kind of new, but I'm wondering if anyone here has an opinion on this subject?

they all have similar layouts and features...

asus/chaintec/leadtek and epox all have nice solutions... all have different things that standout...

best all around might be epox and asus... leadtek and chaintek are supposed to be a little tiny bit faster... go with asus... they have a very nice board layout...

Thanks for your input. I was leaning towards the Asus board, because it is not only about $30 cheaper, but seems to have a nicer layout. The Chaintech board, for instance, doesn't have 5.1 Dolby surround sound in it.

asus also has dual lan support on it... v/s single on the chaintek and the layout is better as you said.. plus the onboard sound is better too though for me it is not such a biggie coz I have an audigy...

I would go for the A7N8X Deluxe. Onboard Dual LAN, Serial ATA, SoundStorm 5.1 Sound, you can't go wrong.

I'm getting one right after chirstmas.

I know this isn't the exact answer you were looking for, but more a personal opinion based on experience...

I've owned a Asus A7N266-E (nForce 1) for almost hmmm, a year now?

Love it big time.

I even ran some semi-heavy games under it's on-board graphics chip and was very impressed. I've since upgraded to a Ti4400, but still, it did well for quite a while...

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
