newbie Questions

Well I installed the upgrade on a clean drive. Everything seems great but here are a few ??

First off my system is an intel p3 800 with 512 meg ram SB live value Asus geforce 256 32 meg video.

The system does not seem to run as fast as I expected.

Also with ME when I booted up I was automatically connected to the net. I am on Sympatico DSL. With XP I have to connect manually. How can I change this?
I set it to connect automaticaly but it doesn't.

Are there any tweaks to speed the system up ?

I'm not sure what you mean by having to connect manually. What exactly is happening? It should be always connected with the DSL.

Not as fast as you would like. Is your speed comparable to the ME installation? There are a ton of tweaks available here, but if performance is comparable to other OSes you've tried on that machine you may not achieve desired results. Not exactly sure what to suggest on that
