Word of advise, don't bother using the installation cd for drivers

Dl the driver pack from the website.

If you are using vista, it should automatically detect the primary drivers for the card. The only other thing you'll need is the remote IR driver/app and voila, all done.

Yes, you can attach it. The channels and everything else will be changed by the Dish remote but you have an additional tuner available for other items.

Nice pick...been running one with Vista for about 3 months without any problems...didn't need any software.

BTW, if you plan on using the included remote, change your plans...it sucks!

yes and no. it will not be a simple lossless stream dump like with DVB or ATSC. you will have to pass through composite or s-video (analog), drastically reducing the quality as well as taking more resources.

for proper digital cable/satellite you need dedicated tuners. and that's if the content isn't encrypted.
