Hi, just started to get into the whole active desktop theme and I was reading MadMatt's tutorial, and I was wondering or how do you make your active desktop transparent to your wallpaper? I know it's been probably covered somewhere in NTFS forums can anyone post that or explain how to do that?
also,
when I did activate my desktop why do my desktop icons come up 2-D? not as robust as before when active desktop was not activated?
if anyone can point me in the right direction that will be great!
thanks again!

I don't know that you can make the active desktop transparent (some one might be able to tell you different). I just made the background of the active desktop the same colour as the desktop. This is more difficult if your desktop is a picture rather than just a colour.
As for your second question, I can't answer that because the purpose of my active desktop is to get rid of all my icons.

djwhite,
yes! that is what I want to do, make the fonts and layout transparent so it blends in with my desktop wallpaper.

Body Electric, I think theres a misunderstanding here.

An Active Desktop is pretty much a webpage on your desktop that replaces the more generic background and icons setup.

You HAVE to know atleast some html to get it working, so I'm going to assume you do. Just set your background to the image you want your background to be. ie.
