New motherboard with windows xp

I just on bought a new motherboard and i cant get windows xp to start up. Whn it tries to boot it freezes up. I tryed to install windows xp again and the installition freezes. I need help.....

first of all, what kind of mother board is it.. is everything connected properly? did you format your hard drive? little more info please.

1. Memory problems or
2. Mobo problem

Download memtest x86 (www.memtest86.com) to check the memory for starters. Post back with results.

YO i think i got the problem. i think it is defictive, so i brought it back and got a asus a7n266. It fixed the problem. if oyu need a motherboard get this one it kicks a$$. i havea amd duron 1.1
