new motherboard installation help please!...

hi...can anyone help please?...

I put together my new system (m/b Asus P4C800 Deluxe). I can access bios, it recognises everything however when I come out of bios my floppy light is on constantly and when I insert my windows me boot up floppy (to load os) it wont read it.

Sounds like you might have the cable on the floppy drive reversed, try flipping it either on the motherboard or on the floppy drive.

Just as an add on ........
Red wire (no1 pin) on data cable ,for general hardware instals),nearest to power connector.
Sometimes no1 is not clearly marked.
