New MOBO and chip

when i install a new Motherboard and new cpu can i go without reformatting windows?? for like 1 day? or should i just waite untill a hdd come so i can backup all info??

If it were me I would wait for the lot then upgrade especially if it was all coming in the same week. Then again......that's me. :happy:

I would also wait. You will more that likely have to do a clean install with all the new hardware so if you only want to do it once you should wait.........

hate to say it but ive tryed XP wont let you do that so your goin to have to wait anyways id just keep running your os till you get your new stuff and then upgrade it

Tried it, not worth the hassle.....wait!!

tried it once, did a repair and it fixed it - ran it for a few days, reinstalled cuz a clean install always runs best

so it is possible to be done... but id wait all the same
