New camcorder coming in the mail! i can't wait for it, i'll be sure to post back with some feedback. oh and does anyone know if you need firewire to look at the photage? I know it has USB support but im pretty sure thats only for transfering the pics on the SD card to the computer...

yeah, but u could use usb to stream i saw it on some sonys, i thought it was only firewire, but firewire it better quality for downloading video to ur pc to edit

USB: for streaming video (like a webcam) and transferring photos (when equipped with seperate memory for storage, like a memory card)
Firewire: For streaming the video directly from tape in DVD quality to the computer/recorder.
