New build first timer - problems!

Yeah, violence solves most of life's problems apparently. It certainly can be very funny.

So, now I have windows xp pro and all my drivers installed I'm finding that with both of my 1GB memory sticks plugged in the computer occasionally freezes irrevocably. The computer works fine with either of the sticks plugged in individually. Is this an issue with the RAM sticks do you think?
