Network Cards

I upgraded? from W2000 to XP 3 weeks ago. I run a network of 4 PCs using a switch and sometimes only 1 PC is switched on.

I installed a 3com network card (3C905B-TX-NM) (I got the latest drivers from the 3COM site). According to Device Manager, the hardware is working correctly.

However, every subsequent boot has XP not starting up at all (I don't even get to the desktop). I even waited for 10 minutes. When I remove the card, no problem.

Any ideas out there?

This is a P3 733, 256mbRAM

Did you try changing to a different pci slot? Sometimes that will do it.
