Netgear FS605v3 Mac and PC

We have a netgear fs605v3 and are trying to connect a mac and pc to the net. We can have either the pc or mac connected to the router seperately and it works fine but with both ethernet cables plugged in only the mac is connected to the internet?!?!

there are no problems with the cables as we have used both succesfully

lol ignore that I bought a switch rather than a router. Stupidity will kill me one day 😀
