Are DDoS attacks illegal? What law code says that, or what precedent has been set? I mean, why doesn't Neowin just sue or call the police instead of running an overt campaign to make people want to break his skull in?

What I have been seeing in the internet forums is not all in good fun. It's been violent talk, murderous scheming, and anger beyond belief. He took a major internet site down--one of billions, but nobody seems to care when a single child gets molested, which is far worse than any DDoS attack.

This "I wanna shove a broomstick into his eye sockets" stuff is ridiculous, and just as childish as his actions.

Direct your anger at crimes that actually mean something.

DDoS'ing is against most countries Internet Terrorism or Cybercrime laws, the main problem with Neowin is that the laws are not internationally the same, and something like this isnt qualified as big enough to deal with other countries law enforcement.

If you think about it, its not just kidd0 who helped to kill neowin - its all the dumbass ppl with pc's who are too stupid to keep their machines up to date with updates for their OS's and virus protection.

Best one i ever heard was from some one on irc saying "I dont download viruses so why do i need a virus scanner?"

It's ppl like him (stupid) who allow themselfs to be infected by ppl like kidd0 with his bots - trojens - zombies what ever you want to call them.
