Hello everyone, first post here.
Excellent board!

I need an XP friendly program that'll allow me to change BIOS settings.
More specifically I need to be able to change my PCI to CPU bridge latency settings. My mobo's BIOS (Iwill KK266) doesn't allow me to do this.

Thanks for any info...

hmmm I've never heard of a program to do that, why are you trying to change it? a change in the pci to cpu latency won't give much performance gain if any at all

Been having problems with my sound. The infamous cracking and popping when opening programs, etc.
Since I'm running a via chipset I had heard that changing the PCI to CPU latency could cure this problem (since nothing else has so far).

I just did a number of searches on old posts here (ooops, I'm a board mod, should have known to do that before posting ;)), and came across this site:

http://www.3dsoundsurge.com/

They have this program available for download:

http://download.viahardware.com/vlatency_v019.zip

I've executed the fix and so far things seem to be working fine now.
Thanks for the reply though!

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?

Impressed you have kept this alive this long EP! So many sites have come and gone. :(

Just did some crude math and I apparently joined almost 18yrs ago, how is that possible???
