need some help with creating php page

hi guyz...am a newbie...and am tryin to build a website for airfares......my problem...is ....am using coldfusion and dreamweaver.....can some tell me how should i create php pages using dreamweaver.....when am creatin and savin the page as .php...i can still see that the page has html coding....it does not have php coding.....my question is...do i have to configure anything in coldfusion or dreamweaver to get the php codes.........plz someone help me guyz...thanx

PHP is most frequently used in a sort of templated style. So you would have your HTML code then you stick your PHP either at the very top of the page or in various parts of the page.
