Need some help in setting up network between computers.



I have 2 comps currently sharing an internet connection through a linksys router. Now I would like to share files. How do I go about doing that? I dont need ICS do I since I have a router? One Comp is Xp the other is Windows 98.

http://home.attbi.com/~dabomb4097/netguide/ - for setting up the XP machine (scroll down to the 2nd half). Skip the part about setting IP addresses. Your router does that automatically

On the 98, open the network conrol panel, click "File and Print Sharing" button and check the box for files. Under identifcation, ensure that the workgroups are the same, and comptuer names different. Then share a folder on each.
