I went home for Christmas and found that my younger brother had installed Hotbar on the family computer. As much as I want to take it off completely, he wants to leave it on there. So my question is: does anyone know of a way to configure Hotbar to only load on his profile on Windows XP? There are 4 different user profiles, and his is the only one that needs to be running the bar. I checked msconfig under the profiles that I wanted to change, but I can't find any Hotbar entries there. Apparently the program loads up the first time you load up IE, or Explorer for that matter. I don't know if this can be done, but it sure would be nice to find out.

tell your brother that HOTBAR is a spyware program it takes info from your PC and sell them besides that it slows down your internet and in few days you PC will blow up in his face :D

uninstall it and then use anti spyware program

Hotbar = Spywear = slow down of internet = pop-ups
also
Hotbar = stupid = no need for it

I am completely aware of what Hotbar is and what it does, and I've even read some of the End-User License Agreement. But as I hinted at to begin with, removal is not an option. So either there are other ways to keep it from loading, or there aren't... and that is my question.

use another browser such as Mozilla or Netscape!
you may see in IE bar options( right click on it) some options like links..etc if you uncheck it then it might disappear ( maybe it's there maybe not)

Yes, currently I am unchecking it to take it off of the toolbar. However, every time that I load up IE the Hotbar reloads. I do not want to change browsers. Apparently there are no registry changes that can be made under certain profiles? This is what I am wanting to know.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
