Need Help setting up DNS Server Win2003

Am I missing something (Lord?) or don't you need to have your ISP change/add an A record for the IP address(es) you are using?

You missed the fact he wants to host his own forward DNS.

He will need to contact his ISP to get reverse DNS changed.

Yes, that's what I mean. I left out the word "reverse".

reverse DNS? Is It my registrar or my ISP?

Thanks,

That would be the entity that provides (normally the ISP) you with the static IP addresses that you are using.

Thanks for all your help guys so far,

Still working on this.

One more question: If I own several domains, can I use just one DNS setup all the domains? I am using the virtual hosting within Apache.

Thanks,

Heeter

yeah just change the nameservers to the ones you made for hcctech.ca and make sure you have them as NS records on the new forward zones.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
