need help on SP1

i am reinstalling win xp pro after a format, should i install sp1 before any other software or after all other software is installed

I would install all major software first, such as MS Office, Norton programs, etc.

so everything like my updated drivers, office, norton, firewall, and not games and p2p programs and stuff

i would slipestream the xp disk with the service pack

The best GeForce Drivers at the mo for WinXP are the Beta Dets 40.7x
I also agree with dayle, you could slipstream the Service Pack to the WinXP install CD, search the forums for slipstream to see how to do this.

make a ss xp disk w/ sp1, then install all apps. also use ntfs fs, (this goes w/o saying).

2nd suggestion, if you don't have an xp disc w/ sp1 ss I would install OS, then sp1, then apps.

Thats prob as there isnt a right way to do anything, only ones to minimise the quantity of s*cough*t hitting the fan
