Need 4 speed HS

I am getting an error message when I attempt to start N4S HS.
'need for speed high stakes for win32 has encountered a problem and needs to close'

I get the feeling it could be a display driver conflict I am running
gf2 400 ti with drivers 2.9.4.2

Does anybody no of any compatability probs?
haave also tried different compatability modes when running.

Any help on this matter would be appreciated

well the only two things I can think of to try first go the game's web site and see if there any updates and second get the newest drivers from Nvidia
