Ok, I actually have a computer question, go figure :p

I can't do a full system scan or even scan a file unless I'm signed on as the Administrator, Why???

My computer was set up by someone else when I was on vacation (it crapped out right before vacation). He's never used XP and set up an Admin account plus 1 for myself and 1 for each daughter. Is there anyway of fixing this or do I have to reformat in order to scan files and my computer under any user?

lol, I couldn't resist. :p

Have you tried reinstalling it in the account it's not working in? Don't uninstall it, just turn it off and install it again over the top of the old install. Don't know if it will help but it's something to try.

Thanx

Thanx for the info guys :) unfortunetly none of that helps :( A friend told me I need to be the admin. For now, until the next reformat, I'll just pop over to the admin account to scan anything that needs to be scanned.

...

Try deleting Administrator account and making your user the Computer Administrator.

or a less severe option would b 2 give ur account admin priveleges!

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
