"MyComputer" Startup

I am running WinXP Pro.

Recently, a "My Computer" window started displaying on startup, though I do not recall doing anything to cause it to do so. I have tried to find the place where it is listed to start and cannot find it. I ran sysedit and could not find it there; where else can I look?

Any suggestions?

start>run>msconfig>startup
See if anything wierd is under there.

Same thing happened to me using win9x & it went away on its own after a while. Stupid windows.

You know of course if you shutdown windows 'hard or soft' and happen to leave a window open; those window(s) may pop up after you restart.

I'm sure this isn't your problem, sure you guys know this too...

Goto Tools, Folder options, View

Make sure the box "restore previous folder windows at logon" is unchecked. if it already is. check it. apply, then uncheck it apply, and reboot after closing everything.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
