Hello,

WMI problem again No :D :D :D after I've placed a new
harddisk and install wxp pro instead of wxphome
the WMI settings are oke now, thats wy I'll tell you.

with greetings, Dutchie

I’m sorry that I come again with the problem
Earlier described in this forum.

The latest solution I can get is this:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q319101

I can’t no further than point 7 because the description of
point 8 is no possible for me because their are no files in it.

I’m very despaired, I don’t no how further.

I’ve installed windows xp home edition again, but no results.
I’ve read all the topics in this forum, but couldn’t find
the hint for me. I get the message that’s not possible to install
Fastprox.dll, during the installation of winxp
I got the same error when I’ve installed W2k
I've not any problem with the rest of the installation
so I think it’s not a problem of the cd-rom software but
something at the hardware, but what?

The Pc
x86 family 6 model 8stepping
10
256 mb ram
IDE-CD r/rw 8x4x32

I’ve done all the hints describe in this forum.

-I can’t see anything of the WMI options
-I’ve check services if windows management services are
started, yes
-I can't see anything of msinfo32
-I’ve tried to ask it Microsoft, but I have to pay €50 for one
question because I’ve the OEM version.

Please can you tell me if it is possible to resolve this problem?
Or not? Is their an other solution for me?

Thank you for reading again this problem, I hope to get an answer.

With kindly regard from holland.

I use Windows xp home edition with SP1.

I can't clearly see your problem. What program are you trying to load that won't install some files? Try to explain what is going on as far as your problem is concerned.

Re: My problem with WMI

-I will go to the advange option of my kabel-internet connection
when I do I get the following message

Windows Management Intrumentation is maybe not installed
or corrupt

-I wil see de configuration in msinfo32, again I get
the same message, the only thing I can see is an
empty screen of msinfo32

-I also will go to start Wbemtest.exe, now I get the
following message <Null>:its not possible to start interface

-I will go to the firewall options, I can't because
again I get WMI error.

-So I can't do anything with Windows Management Intrumentation

So I've a look at the internet for help or solution
I find some also here at XP-erience. I thougt jippie
a can fix the problem now, but no way its still the same.

Ik thougd this is the best option for my problem over here

http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...b;en-us;Q319101

but till point 8, because there are no files in it.

I realy don't no how it come and how to get it right.

I've windows xp home editon with SP1

with greetings :)

Only thing I can suggest is doing a system restore if it is a new problem or try repairing xp by booting with the cd inserted.

Also Hi EP and people. I found this place again while looking through a oooollllllldddd backup. I have filled over 10TB and was looking at my collection of antiques. Any bids on the 500Mhz Win 95 fix?
Any of the SP crew still out there?
