"My Computer" suddenly changed?

You know how when you open "My Computer" in XP the drives and folders are divided into sections (Shared Folders, Hard Drives, Etc.)? I tried to connect to the shared drives on our network this morning, but one was down so it didn't connect properly(ie, the app that connects them froze and crashed). Now the drives and folders aren't sorted under My Computer anymore. While this doesn't affect the functionality, I really preferred them being sorted. Does anyone know how to get them back, or should I just do a system restore and see if that fixes it? Thanks!!

Under "view" in my computer, click "tiles" or "icons". If that isn't the way you want it to look, try the other options. I think I understand what you are getting at. If not, explain a little more.

Never mind, I got it. Don't know how it got switched off, but it did. You have to view as tiles, arrange by TYPE, and show in groups. Why would it go through the trouble of changing that on its own?? Thanks.

OK, under "view", "arrange icons by", tick "show in groups" and "auto arrange" and "arrange by type". Is that what you are looking for?
