My CD DRIVE IS PISSING ME OFF!!!!!

Just a few days ago, while i was playing a game, i pressed escape to pause it, i went to options and everything froze, i looked at my cd drive and saw that it was doing something, options just wasn't coming! All the music had stopped, i came back later and saw that I was back to the desktop! Now everytime i insert a game or a data cd, it dosn't do autoplay and it dosn't show that new icon on top of the cd-icon!! Does anyone know how to fix this?

Have a look in event viewer to see if there are any clues there.
if not try system restore to go back to a date when it was working.
If that does not help uninstall it in device manager and reboot so it redetects it.

I dunno, i just uninstalled it and then it installed again automatically.
