MSN + Outlook XP

I've using the searched but couldn't find what i was looking for.

On the first time i start outlook xp, messenger starts also. I tried xp-antispy but that's only for Outlook express. How can i prevent messenger starting with outlook?

anyone know a trick?

do u use messenger?

if u don't consider gettig rid of it.

to get rid of it:

Click Start > Run and in the Open: box type the following command (press OK when done):

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

just cut and paste it. 😀

yep, i use it a lot ( got 3 accounts 🙂 very easy that way)

I know how to get rid of it but that's not what i want. I don't want it to start with outlook because when i log the app. closes itself. and when i start it manualy ther are no probs

go to the outlook options, it should have something there !

Rename your Messenger folder, and that will stop it from running w/ Outlook and still allow you to use it.
