msn messenger problems

it s no biggy but i'd like to make msn messenger stop telling me to update (i dont want to, the newer version is bad for me).

it also like for it to stop telling me that there is 2 email waiting in my inbox when there are none.

is trilian better ? has anyone tried it ? i dont dare instal it without any reviews from forums

for those who don t know, trilian is allegedly a very efficient messenger with icq/msn and more built in...so one messenger talks to alll kinda thing

I use trillian , its excellent ..... it handles all my online communications ...very handy .....

As far as stopping updates for MSN i have no idea ..... maybe in the registry somewhere
